Unsure of morel type - found in reddish colored wood chips. Gorgeous and our first morels! Made a little bit of noise about the first ones spotted!!! Happy spring!!!

A pair of Black Oystercatchers were on the beach during the minus tide. This one was foraging, the other had her beak tucked under her wing for a nap.

A male Purple Martin paused on the pier railing below the PTMSC nest boxes. I counted 11 flying above the pier and perching or entering the boxes.

Short tail. Small - quail sized. Brown and streaked.

Grey clavarioid fungus growing from poor mossy soil with Geoglossum and Clavaria. Stipe opaquely nattered, head with a less fibrous, more uniformly grey look.
