Description
I was wondering what they were doing around the gate post, since it didn't look like they were actually going into a nest. Then I noticed the ants:

Apparently they were waiting for the larger winged ones to come up (3rd pic.). They would then grab these and carry them off to feed their larva.
Lots of photos to show the action, including the little ants trying to fight back (pic. 11).

Description
Humming Bird pollinating tropical flower. Picture was taken around 8am.
Bird came out later time than expected.
Pollinated many flowers including this one and a Japanese Cherry Tree.

Description
It announces its return by hovering in front of us. Distinctive flight. This is something like the fifth generation of residents and it isn't spring without one. The narrow inner primaries support Archilochus versus Calypte. There will be many more observations and usually better photos.
