Also, any ideas if these are parasitic, or could they be mutualistic/some other relationship?
Spider leg span about 60mm. Mites maybe 1-2mm each.

Growing on a Rottnest Island Tea-tree on Garden Island. No flowers present. Only small shrivelled green fruits.
