ZOOLOGY II 2024
The specimen was found flying around a flower bush and occasionally stopped to pollinate. The specimen has been classified as Apis mellifera (European Honey Bee) due to the distinctive colouring and pattern on the abdomen. The size and length of the abdomen was also used to identify the specimen. The specimen is part of the order Hymenoptera as it has a stinging structure, membranous wing, and visible elbowed antennae.
Found drinking water from small puddle of water.
