Common.
Habitat: Overgrown, upland meadow. In 2015, this area was mowed, planted with trees, portions of it were brush-hogged a couple of times, and then the area was pretty much left alone: over time, the brush hogged areas became dominated by Multiflora Rose (Rosa multiflora), with abundant Allegheny Blackberry (Rubus allegheniensis). Beginning in 2022, a significant amount of the Multiflora Rose and various species of Rubus were removed or cut back. Currently, the area is coming back with lots of species of Goldenrod (Solidago spp.), Virginia Mountainmint (Pycnanthemum virginianum), various graminoides (primarily, Poaceae and Cyperaceae, but the Juncaceae is also represented), and other herbaceous species.
