Description

I mistook this for a Ring-billed Gull . This is probably my first Mew Gull for the inland portion of Contra Costa County . I would guess that it is uncommon or rare locally .

Description

Note dusky eyes , but most of all a very distinctive tiny sharp pointed yellow-green beak . Mantle darker than nearby Ring-billed Gulls .

Description

This manzanita looked similar to the nearby Contra Costa Manzanitas , but the leaves were darker and shaped differently . I wonder if this might be A. manzanita manzanita . The fruit looked identical .
