My first photo of this species I believe . This bird swam several hundred yards , hence the large circle for the observation . Recent strong storms have sent a number of these closer to shore .
A variable sand snake found DIC, dead in a creek.
I could not see any obvious damage to the body anywhere, and wondered if this species might be a particularly poor swimmer?
From past files . Is this P.munitum or P.imbricans ?
