1a. Leaves distinctively petiolate (gesteeld), ovate or elliptical: A. filiformis
1b. Leaves sessile or very shortly petiolate, oblong-lanceolate: A. septentrionalis.
If you have a picture of the leaves we can finally give it a name (could still be septentrionalis, whichs is also found in fir-stands in Germany)
