@tfrench I thought this was one of the Deer Mouse family that lives near our house, but iNat is suggesting Meadow Vole??? You've helped me before, so I am hoping you can help. This was a very tiny rodent! Accidentally smooshed while planting.
Apparently, we have a fat, three-legged mouse & family. #nightlifeinthecountry
Same mouse family as:

The time was wrong on the camera. Obviously.
One long, somewhat faint, slightly flickering flash lasting about 4 seconds. Green light, in flight. Low to the ground. Hayfield near river. Multiple individuals observed. 65 degrees.
found dead on the ground. Very limp. moved with a stick to get photo. It was a male.
Growing on American Beech
Unexpected visitors, the younger one had one blue eye, one brown eye.
Otter creek wilderness on very wet trail
Small, about the size of a grain of rice.
In northern hardwood forest at about 3300 feet elevation. Unfortunately my flash didn't fire.
It was moving very quickly, and I only managed this one photo. If it would be helpful to make an identification, a friend got a photo showing the full body and I can ask to add it here.
