With a group of Grey-headed Gulls
One of two pictured. Seemed smaller than the Humpbacks but distance may have made it hard to judge size. Possibly Orca...?
I finally did it!! Got a photo with both fiscals :-) Yay!
Bunches of birds were alarm calling in a patch of veld. The cause did not show itself and did not move from its spot. The calls point to a snake, so I can only imagine it was a puffy who came out to sunbathe for a bit. Or maybe a sandsnake.
About 25 cm to 30 cm.
The verdict is still out on the species of Noddy for now......
