Newton Woods Nature Walk, Oct. 1, 2024

I've walked around the reservoir a couple of times since coming back to BC, and that is where I made my first observation last time. However, for this first nature walk, I wanted to go back to where it all began and walk around the woods adjacent to the Newton campus. Last year, living in Duchesne, I made many a walk through these woods to destress and get away. I also know the woods are relatively large, so it would not be difficult to find organisms. The weather was overcast, and I feared rain when it began to drizzle shortly before my walk. However, there was no rain, especially not under the cover of the woods. It was a meaningful experience to return to the Newton Woods, and I was happy to have a reason to go.
