My mother thought me years ago how to find joy in the tiniest of things. From lady bugs to trout lilies, from toads to robins. I don't take for granted the common residents in my world: I find a Cardinal's red feathers stunning, a Blue Skink's long blue tail fascinating, and the light pink petals of the Evening Primrose delicate.
Living in Wylie, Texas with my husband, two cats and a dog, I routinely grab my binoculars for birdwatching and talk a walk outside to see what new has popped up. Each year, we travel in a motor home to Yellowstone and Grand Teton national parks to photograph the amazing wildlife and stunning landscapes. I am a Wildlife Storyteller and Advocate and share my encounters with wildlife to inspire others to get outside and see why it's important to protect our wildlife and their habitat.
