Located within Geographe Bay, Western Australia, The Busselton Jetty is home to one of the world's six underwater observatories, and operated by the non-profit organisation, Busselton Jetty Inc.

Influenced by the warm Leeuwin Current, life in the waters of Geographe Bay is a curious mix of sub tropical and temperate marine ecosystems, with over 300 marine species recorded at the site, many of which are endemic to the South West of Australia.

Underwater Observatory Tour Guides survey marine life from the observatory windows twice daily. The survey includes many species of bony and cartilaginous fishes, mobile invertebrates, mammals and birds. Oceanographic observations are also taken and include tidal state, weather observations and visibility estimates.
