Biologist based in Basel, Switzerland, fascinated by the endless diversity of life and open science.

I use iNaturalist to contribute to open global biodiversity knowledge. For birds I generally prefer ebird (except for some of my older photo documented point observations).

I will try to annotate my observations to the best and encourage others to do so to improve their quality for research purposes. I will make an effort to try annotating the life-stage of all observations in the project 'Moths of Switzerland'.

My ID knowledge is mainly restricted to Western Palearctic birds at the moment but I'm trying to get into Orthoptera and Lepidoptera more and more.
