I am a graduate student from Vancouver currently doing my PhD at the University of Toronto, where I study the genomics of speciation in Amazonian birds. I am interested in population genomics, genome evolution, and the processes that form and maintain new species. I have also worked on the evolutionary history of the skuas and jaegers, and I did my undergrad on the population genetics of Pacific and Winter Wrens.

While my work now focuses on DNA sequences, I spend my free time exploring the forests Keats Island on the coast of British Columbia. My main focuses are birds, moss, moths, and jumping bristletails - or whichever is the next organism to cross my path.

On inat, my main interest is to document the diversity of Keats Island, BC: https://www.inaturalist.org/projects/biodiversity-of-keats-island
