As an avid gardener and life long nature lover, I'm happiest when I'm in the dirt and find a new critter to learn about. Some people find me annoying and I constantly linger over my flowers; I'm essentially a human hoverfly.

Fun ways they are more beneficial than me:

• They are the 2nd most important pollinator after wild bees!
• The lovely little carniverous larva can suck the guts out of up to 400 aphids.
• They mimic the appearance of bees & wasps (even pretending to sting), but these stingerless sweeties couldn't hurt a ... fly.
