Hi! My name is Barbora Batokova and I am originally from the Czech Republic, where I grew up mushroom hunting in the woods behind our summer house. I moved to the US for college and now I live in Pittsburgh, PA. In 2018 I began photographing and learning about mushrooms in Pennsylvania and established @fungiwoman on Instagram, where I share my mushroom photos and adventures. I also became a WPMC (Western Pennsylvania Mushroom Club) mushroom identifier. I have really enjoyed learning about the differences between North American and European mushrooms.

I do monthly guided walks in western PA, create mushroom recipes and I am currently working on a mushroom guide book!
