Graduate Student at Tennessee Technological University - M.S. Biology

I am a botanist and nature photographer interested in all aspects of nature, especially endangered wildflowers and plants. I graduated with my Bachelor of Science - Botany from Tennessee Technological University in ’23. During my undergraduate degree, I had experience working in Hollister Herbarium (HTTU) involving identifying preserved herbarium specimens, pressing plants, and databasing specimens. I also was a teaching assistant for the General Botany (BIOL 2310) class at Tech for several semesters and I am currently a graduate teaching assistant for Field Botany (BIOL 3240). With teaching floristic heavy labs, it allows me to work and improve my plant identification skills by using dichotomous keys and various guides. Research interests include: the flora of the Southeastern United States with a special emphasis on endangered species.

The majority of my work and familiarity involves Tennessee's fauna and flora.

Happy to be corrected if I misidentify. I am learning everyday myself, and I do make mistakes!

-If you're ever in the Upper Cumberland Region or surrounding area, and you want to go botanizing, message me on iNat. Always looking to meet new biology-botany people.
