Hey! My name is Jacob and I have an overwhelming interest in all forms of life, especially arthropods. I am an Ecology and Evolutionary Biology major at the University of Arizona.
My group of expertise: Spiders of the southwestern US
Groups I actively study: Spiders of Australia, US native bees, Neobrachinus (Carabidae), worldwide salticid diversity.
Groups I'm very interested in: Crabronidae, Chalcididae, Megachilidae, and more!
I would really like to study patterns of mimicry in the southwest, in particular those flying taxa that don the typical Polistes color pattern. My inspiration for such a study can be found in Dr. Joseph Wilson's investigation into North American velvet ant mimicry rings.
