The weather was 60 degrees with a moderate UV index and 60% humidity. When walking around the Hammond Pond I noticed a lot of different types of environments that species can live in. Such as, rock ledges, small mud/wetland areas and trees which surprisingly had very little birds in them. On the walk I noticed many different types of fungi and they were all spread out from each which looks at beta diversity of two community samples. Most communities were also dominated by one type of plant showing a low species evenness. There was also probably a large population of cryptic species of plants.
