In conclusion: data are very tourist-centric, with no common plants in the top (the Baobab does not count as it is a tourist attraction, and relatively rare). Part of this may be due to the lack of decent hiking trails or on-foot exploring activities, which makes recording plants quite difficult. Similarly invertebrates do not feature at all in the top observations.

There are hardly any trails in Kruger where one can walk and look at plants and insects without having to include a game guard.

An exception is Berg En Dal Rest Camp, with its "Rhino Perimeter Trail" but there is no mention of this on the National Parks web site. Much of the trail is along the fence, but there is an internal section through preserved bush.

The trail is about 3.2 km long and follows the perimeter fence for the most part. Some 800 m are suitable to the visually impaired with a cable and braille boards. There are informative boards on the Big 5, Small 5, Smallest 5, the Big 6 Birds, the Big 5 Trees , and other snippets on fauna and flora. The perimeter fence section has benches to rest and view the game. Some plants are labelled.

Also Mopani has a nice trail along the fence and next to the dam, although not as long as Berg & Dal.

For the rest, yes its restcamps, picnic spots, around bird hides and places like that, and plants/insects using zoom lens if enough detail is visible...
