Species I have trouble distinguishing
L. strictum from L. oblongum
L. nitidum from L. virginicum in Southern CA
L. oxycarpum from L. acutidens
L. strictum from L. oblongum
L. nitidum from L. virginicum in Southern CA
L. oxycarpum from L. acutidens
In 1925 Jepson named a plant Lepidium oxycarpum var. acutidens (A. Gray) Jeps.
Makes me wonder if he thought these two species were not too distinct...
L. densiflorum obovate fruit, petals not obvious, sometimes really long, dense racemes (hence the name), and I think the elongating racemes have tighter clusters of flowers at their head than does L. v.. I still have a hard time with these two species.
