Taxonomic Split 116187 (Guardado el 23/01/2023)

Blue-throated Piping-Guan is split into two species, based on differences in plumage and in the color and shape of the wattle, and because there is only limited documentation of hybridization between them (Vaurie 1967). Therefore the monotypic group Blue-throated Piping-Guan (Blue-throated) Pipile cumanensis cumanensis becomes Blue-throated Piping-Guan Pipile cumanensis; and the monotypic group Blue-throated Piping-Guan (White-throated) Pipile cumanensis grayi becomes White-throated Piping-Guan Pipile grayi.

Even atlases mapped, 70 observations may be bumped to genus level due to states with having both species.

@loarie Thoughts before we commit this one? I've updated range maps, though our range maps are going to differ a little from Clements because I cannot find an iNat obs of grayi in Peru, nor are there any in eBird. The new maps are approx. where one species transfer to another.

Problem is, even with the atlas, La Paz, Bolivia has both species so how do we prevent those from being bumped to genus?

This looks good to me
its fine to coarsen some IDs, based on 'analyze IDs' this looks good to me

Number of IDs Destination Atlas
540 Pipile cumanensis Atlased
376 Pipile grayi Atlased
24 Pipile Outside of all atlases
22 Pipile Overlapping atlases

I agree, this is fine to commit, there are only 7 wild obs in the overlap area
