Russula rosea can refer to three different species, all with different accepted names.

Russula rosea Quél. 1888 (illegitimate, current name: Russula aurora)
Russula rosea Kill. 1939 (illegitimate, unknown affinities)

Therefore, according the different interpretations by iNaturalist observers, swapping it into Russula sanguinea would lead to numerous misidentifications.
