I know it varies from month to month, but the Virginia Opossum has had a noticeable abundant population near my family's farm. I've noticed they've been drinking my cat's water and have been using the outbuildings as makeshift homes. I usually relocate them to the nearby forest, but certain times they seem to comeback. The wetness/rainfall of the area of my home also must be a factor.
Caught this little one under my Grandma's Porch.
Same indiviuial later released.
This one was killed by a car and was probably the mate of the one I released.
Look closely, it's there.
I caught and released it on New years Eve.
