Formerly an electrical engineer but now an amateur botanist, I started learning about and photographing the flora of Williamson county, Texas and surrounding counties (Burnet, Bell, Travis, etc.) in 2008.

Since joining iNaturalist in 2017, I have taken a closer interest in a number of plant taxa such as Hedeoma, Grindelia, Amphiachyris, Gutierrezia, Callirhoe, Zeltnera, Centaurium, and Geranium some of which I have written journal posts about.
