Spotted a northern pike thrashing at the surface with a fish in its mouth. The pike eventually gave up and swam away. On inspection, we found a round whitefish that looked to have been dead for some time - appears to have been a scavenging attempt by the pike, rather than predation. Round whitefish ~25cm total length.

Lake #6 is around 11,000 feet it is the highest lake in the chain of Pioneer lakes. These were about 13 in long. Used small berkley plastic worms with a Carolina rig.
