Found this about 150 feet from the very peak of Spencer’s butte.
On the edge of a cliff underneath the large rocks on the south side slope.

The GPS co-ordinance that I tagged might not be the exact location, I was having a hard time figuring out where the mountain was on the screen.

I think this find is useful because rattlesnakes are said to be long eradicated in this area.

I went there to check because I heard rumors that they were still up there. While trailblazing on the side of the cliff I noticed a big rock and said.. “if I were a rattlesnake, I’d go under that rock.” Sure enough, there it was!
