Location: Found in the Green Way creek clinging to the stone bed under the highway bridge. The entire surface of this concrete bed is situated underwater, reaching to a depth of about one to two feet before meshing into creek bed. The creek water here ran particularly slow and shallow, and many of these snails clung to the edges. Interestingly, I didn't find any of these specimens further in, indicating they prefer shallows or otherwise cannot stand the lower depths. They don't seem particularly picky about temperature either, as the water was cold (however somewhat warmer than the surround winter air), and there was an even distribution of snails about the concrete edges regardless of shadows and sunlight.
