Favoritos de ornisamu

I caught sight of this bird hiding on the other side of some vegetation and snapped the photo. But I have no idea what it is, and have not seen any other bird like it. The second photo shows more of its body and tail as it vanished the moment it saw that I was looking at it. At least the shape of its beak and something of its head and colour are clear. It is at least the size of a blackbird--you can see that it is not small because it is behind those plants on which the camera focused, one of which is part of a geranium, including a leaf.
