   This was my first Herping trip at my hometown. and Happy to spot this rare to spot beauty and record the same.

While were observing, recording Mr. Kalaiselvan who was returning from the family trip uphill at yercaud , he too joined us to click the same.

Nilgiri Tahr at Kottanmutty Hills, Kanjikode Forest, Walayar Forest Division in the State of Kerala, India. This is actually a very rare sighting as I had only heard in the past that these locations also have these animal from the stories and folklore from the local villagers and my aged parents, Also that later they disappeared from the Region. It was somehow really very exciting to be able to spot this animal on February this year 2020
