This species was observed on the bank of the Grasse River at Willow Park, Canton NY, on June 17, 2013. Unfortunately I have lost the photos of the original observed plants. I did however gather seeds and propagated them in my garden. Photos 1- 2 from the left were taken in 2016. Since then the plant has naturally propagated and has become a bit of a nuisance. Photos 3-4 were taken in 2024.
An incredible find today by @amjohnson - few dozen clumps growing in drawdown in disturbed wetland. Not the place a botanist typical goes! AFAIK this is the first report for NYS since 1935!
