I saw buckwheat in Earon canyon but I found the one with flowers in chantry flats.
Poison oak can be found in the form of shrub or vine.It causes skin rash in many people. It can reach 4-5 feet in height as a shrub.
The California Buckwheat was found dominating in a community which just gone through a storm. Many trees in the area were knocked off, leaving many open space for the California Buckwheat.

Marah macrocarpus (wild cucumber). Creeping over poison oak and other shrubs. Vines grab onto other plants and help to anchor the vine. Small white flowers could be observed.
Miner's lettuce growing in riparian along Upper Winter Creek trail. Tiny flowers emerge from the center of the leaves. Poison hemlock (Conium maculatum) can also be observed.
