A long-billed dowitcher has been reported at this location for the the last couple of weeks. I think this is it (left middle in the first picture, right in the second and third. Images 4 and 5 were taken a bit later but I think it's the same bird). Similar shape to the surrounding godwits, but substantially smaller.
At the time this image was taken (1992) this bird was known as Plain Thornbird (Phacellodomus inornatus). It has now been lumped with Rufous-fronted Thornbird from what I can determine.
OK, I will test your patience with some scans of some old, marginal 35 mm slides. gcwarbler had retained many boxes of some of my culled slides from 20-30 years ago. I have enough to keep me busy for many weeks at least with scanning, etc. (thanks Chuck….I think!). These will all be of records I had not posted to iNat previously. Sorry for the marginal/poor quality of most of these but they are all I have.
