Sika deer in Long Island NY. Primarily there are White Tail Deer on Long Island but there are small herds of Sika Deer as well. They escaped from sanctuary years back and now run wild in some parts of the island.
Along east side of trail, directly behind a Mahonia. The photographed specimen was the largest I saw. There are a number of seedlings around it forming a small colony.
Probably the progenitor of all other Kalopanax around DC. Planted at US national arboretum in the Asian valley.
Cultivated. Hanging branches 5 feet long!
