Specimen lost. But tissue was collected for sequencing.
Substrate: Decaying ʻŌhiʻa leaf.
Size: fruit-1.5 cm
One of the less common subspecies. I’ve seen this type here and at burfoot park. fruiting in duff / dirt in mixed thuja, acer and conifer woods on a slope. next to another hygrocybe.
caps slimy dark lime green, not the emerald of the type seen more frequently. umbonate to uplifted. 2-3.5cm diameter striations at edge
gills light yellow / orange. narrowly attached to notched
stipes slimy, lime green color like the cap, gradient shifting to light orange / yellow and lightest at the base. marbled quality

Found under Ohia (M. polymorpha) in moss and near Cibotium among other native plants.
No visible mushroom bodies it was fruiting from, both lactarius and russulas noted in the area
Possibly CL.cyanescens, no noticeable isidia but some small wrinkles that look a bit spotted.
@rambryum any suggestion on an epithet?
This has been a bucket list genus for me.
Found on large fallen old growth in a proposed clear cut site.
