On west facing slope, five feet from poly canyon road under umbellularia californica adjacent to toxicodendron diversilobum and quercus agrifolia
Distinguishing Characteristics:
Dioecious, stems rigged, leave with very short or no petiole, margin unevenly toothed
Twig appearance, deciduous, red bark, alternate phyllotaxy and leaves of three
flat, near Quercus Agrifolia and Adenostoma faciculatum with moderate OM
slight east facing slope, under Quercus agrifolia and arctostaphylos spp.
Small patch off trail in flat sandy soil.
On sandy soils with lots of leaf litter, shaded by a Quercus agrifolia. Compound with three lobed leaflets.

Found on steep, North-West facing slope. Near riparian area. Soil is eroded and has a high presence of moss, ferns, and Diplacus aurantiacus.
