Beetle was initially observed in dirt partially submerged. Once picked up the bugs features became more prominent. The beetle was found during the later hours of the morning on a sunny day, although it was in the shade and the soil was cold.

Mallee to 4 metres tall. Flowers various shades of pink. Growing in rocky gully with Eucalyptus diversifolia subsp. diversifolia, E. odorata and E. leptophylla. Nearby on lower ground is E. albopurpurea, E. porosa and E. cladocalyx subsp. cladocalyx.
