Seen at Tampines Eco-Green while on survey.
The picture is not clear, but the birds were easily identified by the call.
Unsure if it is a resident, spotted near some White-crested laughing thrushes, this is the closest match, sounds are similar to an Asian Koel.
1 example observed. I only saw it because experienced naturalists were observing it.

We saw 5 of them sitting in the same tree
Eastern Crowned pretender, but the dark marks on the very orangey lower mandible, and the yellow wash in other parts of the under gave it away.
It’s the species with the black coloured neck flap, as can be seen in the photo
