Form albiflora? Not great photos (should really have spent more time looking at in the field, but it was not part of our scope of work).
f. albiflora
One white flowered plant observed next to purple flowered forms
wpt 393; A pure white form. Only one white individual with numerous typical ones.
Pond at Fort Fisher Aquarium.
Was fortunate enough to witness the hatching of a nest that was located on the beach directly in front of the house I had been staying in. Massive thank you to the wonderful ladies volunteering with the Oak Island Sea Turtle Protection Program, who answered lots of our questions, and signaled our house with flashlights when the big moment was happening! The last image is of note because there was a single baby who emerged from the same nest two nights later. It was missing its back right flipper.
Adult female, stowaway on a houseplant shipment from Florida.
3rd individual of this species that I’ve recorded as a stowaway on houseplants. Adult male.
