I was lucky enough to fall into a trip to the California Wolf Center. It was a lovely day to visit the Julian area. I wish I had more time to take in the plants and birds but I was at the mercy of a group. Enjoyed the brief visit and the educational program at the Wolf Center. It has taken me a few days to figure out the ins and outs of iNaturalast and the Seek App. I downloaded it at home (Spokane County, WA) but didn't realize that it would be entertaining to keep a list and try to find the many interesting plants and critters.
I am currently visiting Ramona, CA, and staying with my mom. She has a couple of acres, that are slowly going to wild. She is elderly and not able to get around well. So the place has gone downhill over the last few years. But it has been rather exciting to go around the property and see what there is to see.
I hope to get out and find more native plants this weekend, but my visit is focused on my mom, so we will see what happens. There are still quite a few wildflowers blooming.
I got to go to Borrego Springs for an afternoon but didn't do too much exploring. I hope to get a better phone soon to get better pictures.
