I live across the street from a cemetery, so there is tons of unkept decaying wood and resulting fungi and lichen. I was able to get some pictures of what look like different species, but there was a lot of shelf fungi to be found. It was about 50 degrees and raining when I took these pictures, and late in the afternoon so some of them are quite dark. I liked the deer mushroom because it looks upside down almost, in that the lined fibrous tissue usually found on the bottom of a mushroom cap is found on the top side here.

Since this iNaturalist assignment was also ongoing during spring break, I included the apple tree I saw in Sleep Hollow as my angiosperm, not to be confused with the northern lady fern image that also has flowering species in it. The Eastern Redcedar I found was actually on campus, as I had a hard time finding pinecones to identify. The walk was spread out over many days, and at many times of day, so the lighting is more dim in some than others. Either way, the fall is my favorite season and I'm so glad I got to spend some of it outside!
