Looks like another siskin died, one that the dogs didn't bring into the house. Presumably dead of some combination of Salmonella and Cooper's Hawk.

Pine Siskin that has been dead a while, out in the rain, then picked up by my dog.

First dead siskin of the year, but doubtless not the last. Up on a beam over the patio. I suspect I could duplicate this and post it for Salmonella, but I'm not going to.

Found dead. Earlier today, the dogs tracked in a siskin feather. I guess the Salmonella outbreak is back (or more accurately, never left).

Sick with pox. Showed up today and visited all our feeders. I will have to bleach all feeders every day now. I feel like putting it out of it's misery.

First bird I’ve seen with “pink eye”

House finch eye disease, left eye only. Came to feeder 5 minutes after male cardinal with disease in left eye only.

Eye swell

It's funny when they fall asleep on the feeder. It's a nice dry spot and likely gets some heat from the house.

When I downloaded the pictures noticed this finch appears to have the eye virus. Will take down the feeders, clean them, keep them down for awhile.
