I have had a love for the outdoors ever since I was very young, growing up on Vancouver Island. Inspired by my nature-loving dad, I always had various collections on the go, including butterflies and moths, bird's eggs, feathers and rocks....never a dull moment! I now live in in the Yukon, and my interests are more about conservation and preservation of natural habitat-- of birds, in particular--and my "collecting" is done with a camera, or through my art.
