I am a retired Speech Pathologist, a career I loved but would rather have been outside more. Since I had a sixth grade science lesson identifying wildflowers in Illinois, I have been hooked.

Exploring the diversity of my area and the Great Smoky Mountains National Park has become a passion, an enjoyable avenue for exercise, a way to participate in citizen-science, a way to make new friends and a way to share what I have learned with others.
