I grew up in Eastern Colorado exploring the ponderosa pine woodlands and reading Ranger Rick, which inspired a lifelong love of nature and conservation.

Nowadays, I am an environmental scientist and public health professional with experience working for the National Ecological Observatory Network and Wyoming Natural Diversity Database in Wyoming, North Dakota, Virginia, Maryland, California, and Colorado.

I love living where the Rocky Mountains and Great Plains intersect, and documenting and writing about the wildlife of the prairie and montane ecosystems.
