I'm an evolutionary biologist. I'm originally from Sao Paulo, Brazil and am currently a faculty member at Rice University in Houston, Texas. My taxonomic specialty is birds, and I currently lead a bird-building collision survey program on our campus, which contributes to the Lights Out Texas project here on iNat. Recently I've also started developing a secondary interest on insects.
