Hello, I am Rodrigo Solis Sosa. Currently, I am serving as the Human Network and Data Coordinator at eButterfly (www.e-butterfly.org), a position I have held since 2019 after completing a 6-month internship at the Montreal Insectarium. My main research interest lies within the social-ecological interphase of the Monarch Butterfly conservation as well as Community Science development.

In addition to my role at eButterfly, I also work as a Human Dimensions of Wildlife Specialist at the Government of British Columbia. I have been in this role for the past since late 2022.

Prior to these roles, I completed my Ph.D. program at the School of Resource and Environmental Management. During my time as a Ph.D. candidate, focused on conservation efforts to primarily protect the eastern monarch butterfly species on North America’s east coast.

Before my Ph.D., I pursued an MSc in Sustainable Development at the Technological Institute of Higher Studies Monterrey. I began my academic journey at the School of Veterinary Medicine and Zootechnics at the Faculty of Higher Studies Cuautitlán in 2006, where I spent a semester abroad at the University of California Davis.

I am passionate about wildlife conservation and sustainable development, and I am committed to making a difference in these fields. Thank you for taking the time to learn about my journey.
