My work in riparian systems across the Pacific Northwest (Blue Mountains, East Cascades, Columbia Plateau ecoregions) and Great Basin (Basin and Range ecoregions) drew me to backcountry surveying, the opportunity to key out sedges and willows every day never gets old! I have a particular interest in disjunct populations of flora, narrow-range endemics, and species of biodiversity conservation concern.
