I've been interested in ecology and biology for as long as I can remember, sometimes coming home from the school library struggling to walk from the number of books on the subject. An area of particular interest were those species found in southern New Jersey and the greater Delaware Valley, where I have spent most of my life. In addition, this has led to over two decades birding and practicing nature photography. I have gone on to earn a bachelor's degree in evolutionary biology from Case Western Reserve University (shoutout to @mfbenard, who was one of my professors) and a masters' in biology from Rutgers, where I modelled population dynamics of northern gannets. Currently, I work in wastewater environmental regulatory compliance and permitting in South Jersey.
