Taxonomic notes: Accepted as Rhampholeon moyeri (Menegon et al. 2002) although there has been some confusion around the taxonomy due to its close similarity to R. ulugurensis. A recent molecular phylogeny shows this species occurs in Udzungwa, Rubeho, Ukaguru, and Nguru (including Kanga), based on an analysis of recently-discovered populations of previously uncertain affinity (Fisseha et al. 2013). R. moyeri is therefore much more widespread than had been known, as many of these records had been erroneously attributed to R. ulugurunsis.
